Trivia

Renewable resources

15.07.2019

In the Czech Republic about 1,000 kWh of solar energy per square meter hits the ground every year. The Masaryk Project also counts on the use of renewable resources - facilities for the acquisition and further use of solar energy will be located on the roof of the building. Alternatively we consider collectors for domestic hot water and photovoltaic panels for electricity generation. Acquired energy or. hot water will be used further throughout the building.

Water usage

11.07.2019

Did you know that about 55 % of the water used is drained into the sewer? Gentle handling of drinking water is one of the standards of the Masaryk project. Water consumption will be solved by capturing and managing rainwater from roofs. We will use it for irrigation and flushing of toilets.

The project also takes into account an area of 2 500 m2 of green roofs and 900 m2 of vertical greenery on the facades. Green roofs and facades absorb sunlight, improve the microclimate of the surroundings, cool the building and its surroundings, and last but not least disrupt the formation of thermal islands. The difference in temperature between these surfaces and conventional buildings is over 55 degrees!
